She who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Will abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Most High,
"Jah is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust."
Surely Jah will deliver u from the snare of the fowler
And from the cacophonous pests.
Jah will cover u with feathers,
And under Jah wings u will trust.
Jah truth will be your shield and buckler.
U will not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Nor the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand will fall at ur side
And ten thousand at ur right hand,
But it will not come near u.
Except in that u will see with ur own eyes,
The reward of the wicked.
Because u have made the Most High your habidation,
Even Jah, who is my refuge,
No evil will fell u.
No disaster will threaten your life,
For Jah will command the angels concerning u,
To guard u in all ur ways.
They will lift u up in their hands,
So that u will not strike ur foot against a stone.
U will tread upon the lion and the cobra,
U will trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because she has set her love upon me," says Jah,
"I will deliver her."
"I will hide her away and protect her
Because she acknowledges my name.
She will call upon me, and I will answer her.
I will be with her in trouble.
I will deliver her and honour her.
With long life I will satisfy her,
And show her my salvation."
