Lyrics

What else should I be?
All apologies.
What else should I say?
Everyone is gay.
What else should I write?
I don't have the right.
What else should I be?
All apologies.
In the sun,
In the sun I feel as one.
In the sun,
In the sun,
I'm married,
Buried,
Buried.
I wish I was like you--
Easily amused.
Find my nest of salt;
Everything's my fault.
I'll take all the blame,
Aqua sea-foam shame.
Sunburn with freezer-burn,
Choking on the ashes of her enemies.
In the sun,
In the sun I feel as one.
In the sun,
In the sun,
I'm married,
Buried,
Buried.
All in all is all we all are.
All in all is all we all are.
All in all is all we all are.
All in all is all we all are.
All in all is all we all are.
All in all is all we all are.

Notes

Originally performed by Nirvana, and released on their third album, In Utero, in 1993. Only a few months later, on April 8th, 1994, Kurt Cobain, Nirvana's singer and guitarist, committed suicide. It is unknown whether Sinéad was already planning to cover "All Apologies," or whether she did so to honor Kurt's memory.
